There are no letters for the summer of 1972. Either Alejandrina couldn't keep them or we did not write, but that August we went to Ibiza, where a small colony of Argentinean artisans was starting to form. The ancient walled town was where their workshops were. It was cheap to rent them and cheap to live. The turists were mostly Germans and the island was still peaceful and unspoilt.
Para el verano de 1972 no hay cartas. Es posible que Alejandrina las haya perdido o que no hayamos escrito. De todas formas ese agosto fuimos a Ibiza, donde se estaba formando una pequeña colonia de artesanos argentinos. Sus talleres estaban en la antigua ciudad amurallada. Los alquileres eran baratos y el costo de la vida también. Los turistas eran sobre todo alemanes y la isla era todavía tranquila y agreste.

Bueno, con Alemanes y no encontrabas mariscos ni pescado fresco ni a palos, pero estaba menos invadida y construída que después y los Alemanes no eran tan ruidosos...
